With the understanding that studying piano via private lessons is a dynamic, nurturing process, I expect commitment to regular attendance unless illness or other family matters intervene. As no one knows magically exactly how to practice, I teach practice techniques as well. I expect to be paid for lessons cancelled at the last minute, and will make every effort to offer a make up lesson in the event of a cancellation due to illness. I take payment on the first lesson of the month for the entire month, and will credit a lesson changed due to my schedule or my illness. I enjoy communicating with parents and encourage a parent to sit in on the lesson if convenient.
